Day 1

  • Overview of the global petrochemical market and energy types
  • Global oil and gas related statistics such as reserves, production, export and consumption
  • Physicals: Backgound on the origin of oil and gas; Reservoir types and formation; Rock and fluid properties
  • The various methods used to explore
  • Extraction: Overview of drilling and equipment; Well testing and completion; Well stimulation and workover; Reserves determination; Pressure Maintenance

Day 2

  • Production: Recovery mechanisms and methods; Oil and gas production; Surface processing operations - artificial lift methods; The wellhead manifold; Oil and gas separation; Oil treatment, storage and transportation
  • Processing: Gas treatment, processing and transportation; Refining options; Production problems such as corrosion and scale; The economics and risk analysis of petroleum projects

 There will be a continual emphasis on explaining the various industry terminology, the implications on project risk and valuation and the common operational and economic risks.
