If you have ever tried to create a data table using inputs from another sheet you may have seen the error message “Input cell reference is not valid”. This appears to be a limitation of what can be done with Excel Data Tables, however there is a neat and efficient work-around to solve this problem. Hopefully this will put an end to the common statement that it is ‘impossible’ to create a data table in a sheet different to where the assumption is….
